PERSONALITY!
Jaden isn’t interested in hanging around one crowd of people constantly. She isn’t much for socializing, so she often finds it easier to be friends with all different people, that way if you get in a fight with one group you still have some friends that aren’t angry with you. That is, if she is interested in being social at all. Jaden is considerably distant from her peers, not so much because she’s rude or mean, but because she spends so much time caring for her dragon, Abraxas. This being said, its not uncommon to find the girl in the dragon stables at all times of the day. And though quite the loner, Jaden is always more than happy to help out younger students who have the desire to learn to ride and care for dragons. She doesn’t put up with crap, and is always causing fights when someone is being unfair. She is a fierce defender of those smaller and weaker than her. And once she helps those in need, she seems to always disappear. She likes helping, but is so selfless she doesn’t even stick around to be thanked for her deeds. Once you’ve befriended this girl, you can be sure you’ll have a loyal friend for life—even is she does tend to be a bit bipolar at times. She is a slave to her own emotions.

APPEARANCE!
Jaden stands at five-foot-five, with a skinny, lanky body. From a first glance, she appears weak and feminine, but underneath you will find that she is made of nearly all muscle. Her hands are calloused from fighting and riding Abraxas. Jaden has dark brown hair, and even darker brown eyes, the color easily passing for black. Her lips are full, and her skin is a pretty light almond color, considerably fair in comparison to her hair and eyes. Her hair cascades down her back in wavy locks, reaching down well below her shoulders. Despite all the years rebelling against her grandmother’s fashion, a few things have stuck. She enjoys dressing up and looking nice, so will often wear light makeup and cute outfits. However, whenever she is working out, sparing, or with Abraxas or any other dragon she is found in more practical outfits, fit for her purpose only. The young woman has multiple scars here and there from her many years of sparing and learning to fight, along with the amount of time she has spent learning to ride and train with Abraxas. She always wears her father’s wedding band on her right thumb, and her mother’s wedding band on her promise finger. Its her way of keeping them both close to her, even when they’re gone. And on her lower back is a tattoo of a silver dragon, which tells both of her loyalty to Abraxas, but also to all dragons in general.

ABILITIES!

• Light Control
  Jaden learned she had this ability shortly after she hid puberty. She can both make ball of light in her hand, and cast a glow around herself. Its only real usefulness is lightening up dark rooms, though she can intensify the brightness. If she makes it bright enough she can blind her opponent, and generally the light surrounding her body often tricks people into thinking she has some sort of shield.
  
  
• Dark Control
  Jaden learned she had this ability around the time she hit puberty. She can cause a room to grow dark, and even make the dark shadows to dance and move to her will. This often helps to blind opponents and confuse them. It sometimes works as a way of frightening them. No amount of fire or light can penetrate the darkness she creates. Only she can see through the darkness, which gives her the chance to sneak up upon the enemy, or simply flee.
  
  
• Telekinesis
  This ability Jaden has had for as long as she can remember. However, it is almost completely useless. It only allows her to communicate with her dragon. However, this is often helpful when strategizing on a next move, or when she’s put into an awkward situation and she needs help figuring out what to say.
  
  
• Healing
  The power of light has always been viewed as good. It helps people. This was proven when Jaden discovered her ability to heal. With extreme concentration, Jaden places her hand over the injured area. White light surrounds her hand, and the injury seems to become a picture in her head. It takes exreme concentration and energy, and the healing power is taken from her own body. If she heals a major injury, she can be sick in bed for weeks. If she were to try to heal something too severe, she could even lose her life.

HISTORY!
Jaden was born to a Japanese mother and a South Korean father, yet her place of birth was in the countryside of England. Her parents, while having come from Drake blood, had never had dragons of their own. Their parents had seen it as wrong, given the new time and age. So, when the two learned they were expecting a child of their own, they decided they would do whatever it took in order to give their child a dragon. Months of travel finally brought them to an old community of Drakes. The community was small, many of the Drakes having left to live normal lives. The people there were only too happy to accept the expecting parents, and the opportunity to keep the Drakes, and in turn, dragons, going.

When Jaden was born, she was given the only new dragon born in that time. Abraxas, a silver dragon that had power over both light and dark. Born on the same day she was, he was a tiny thing, weak and sickly, just like little Jaden. Everyone worried that the two infants would die. However, it was a strange thing. When the two were brought to each other, baby Jaden clutched the dragon close, and the dragon cuddled up close to her. The two began to grow strong together. Jaden’s parents watched in amazement at the instant bond between Drake and dragon. The family was happy, raising their daughter and caring for the small dragon.

Happiness, however, was not to last. Jaden was ten years old when her parents, having done out to town to get some necessities, were in a fatal car crash. The community of Drakes was only too willing to take the little girl in, though it was not to be. The child’s grandmother on her mother’s side, recently widowed, had moved to England. When she heard of her granddaughter was now an orphan she swooped in, taking custody. Jaden had never known her grandmother, though she saw the woman had a dragon of her own and instantly assumed she would be like all the other Drakes she’d grown up with. However, Jaden was completely wrong.

Cho Hee Park disapproved of the idea of Drakes continuing to give their children dragons. In her eyes, it was something of a medieval practice, and in this time and day it was inappropriate. She did everything she could to pull her granddaughter and her dragon, Abraxas, apart. She pushed her daughter into society, keeping as much distance from the two as possible. Jaden was made to practice arts from dance to singing. She was put in salons for manicures and pedicures, hair styling, and massages. Her mother put her into the best, highest class schooling.

Jaden hated it all. She would rebel against everything her grandmother tried to force upon her. She would skip lessons to be with Abraxas, spending her nights with a boy down the street, learning how to fight. All her free time was spent training both herself and Abraxas how to fight and to be as strong as they could be. The girl purposely made a fool of both herself and, in turn, her grandmother. And as more time was spent in each other’s company, more fighting and anger built up. Jaden hated her grandmother, and Cho Hee hated her granddaughter. This, however, didn’t change all the time and effort she put into the girl.

Upon reaching high school, Jaden was contacted by Foxhart Academy, given the chance to go to the school. Jaden realized the great opportunity this presented, and instantly pounced upon it. After much arguing and fighting with Cho Hee, she finally convinced the woman to allow her to go, much against the old woman’s will. Jaden left, happy for the first time. Upon arriving, she learned the school was both a heaven, and a hell. She hated and could hardly relate to anyone, not that she complained. Instead, she fought with people who got on her nerves, and generally ignored everyone. At that point, she only had eyes for Abraxas, who she had been deprived of for so long.

After graduating from the academy, Jaden moved on to the university, wishing to study to become a dragon trainer. It would be a lot of hard work, she knew, but she was up for the challenge. Being the only true Drake left in her family, she was determined to not let her parents, and her old Drake community down. She wouldn’t let the Drakes or the dragons die off.
